Prototyping and 3D Printing Workshop
Std.6 students of PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri participated in the Prototyping and 3D printing workshop conducted by PTVAIM’s COEI (Centre of Entrepreneurship & Innovation) on 28th January 2023 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm as a part of PTVA’s Startup Expo to facilitate students’ innovative thinking and entrepreneurial skills to be showcased to investors, industry experts, and the extended community.
The workshop activities were age-appropriate and meticulously planned by COEI Dean Dr. Sucheta Pawar and her teammates Ms. Riddhima Mahabal, Shri Mayur Khanvilkar, and Shri Mandar Salaskar who were the resource persons and acquainted the students with the concept of Prototyping, the 3D printing process, and its application.
Students also received hands-on experience with the 3D design software TINKERCAD and the setting of a 3D printer. Students made 3D designs of houses, cars, keychains, stars, geometrical shapes, human body cells, amoeba, etc. which were submitted to the COEI team for actual printing. These models shall be displayed at the PTVA’s Startup Expo scheduled for 4th March 2023 from 9:30 am to 9:00 pm at PTVA’s Institute of Management.
