The National Science Day NSD 2023 theme indicates India’s emerging global role and rising visibility in the international arena.
Focusing on the theme, National Science Day was observed enthusiastically at PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri. The importance of the day was explained by Miss. Shweta Yadav through her informative speech.
Various science experiments were conducted across all standards from std.1 to std.6. Lab sessions were conducted for std.5 and std.6 where students performed experiments like ‘Iodine Test of Starch’, Linear Propagation of Light’ and experiments based on the principles of Magnetism. For Std. I to Std. IV, science experiments such as ‘Float and Sink’, ‘Magic with Magnet’, ‘String Telephone’, ‘Turmeric Trick’, ‘Spinner’, ‘Magical Toy’, etc. were demonstrated and performed by the students as per the given instructions. These activities made students learn numerous scientific facts in fascinating ways.
Students participated in all the activities with utmost excitement and passion. Carrying out the experiments by themselves with the guidance of teachers provided students with the sense of being mini-scientists which was a joyful experience. Overall, the day was filled with fun and fervor.
