An Earthly Subject, But A Heavenly Science – Geography
National Geography Day was celebrated at PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri on 15th January, 2025. An informative speech was delivered by Mrs. Aarti Kalekar teacher that emphasized the significance of geography in shaping the world we live in and its role in understanding global challenges such as climate change, population dynamics, natural disasters, etc.
A series of educational and engaging activities such as – ‘The Geography Alphabet’, ‘Make your own Passport’, ‘Geography Map-Reading Relay’, etc., were organized for the students across standards 5th to 8th which aimed at raising awareness about geography, environmental conservation and the importance of geographical activities in everyday life. This event provided an excellent opportunity for students to explore the diverse fields of geography and was marked by enthusiasm and curiosity, with students demonstrating a strong interest in exploring geographical topics and careers in future.
