Annual Day 2025
Rhythms of Joy, Steps of Pride… PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri celebrated 9 th Annual Day on 23 rd December 2025 with verve and gusto by showcasing a fabulous array of Folk Dances of India in compliance with the theme “Rhythms of Tradition”.
Renowned Kathak Dance exponent Mrs. Bhakti Bhatawadekar- Lalit graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The other dignitaries in attendance were Hon. Board Members of PTVA, President Shri Anil Ganu, Joint Secretary Shri Hemant Bhatawadekar, Director Shri Pramod Lele and Chief Academic and Administrative Officer Madam Janhavi Khandekar.
With a formal welcome, the school band squad set the stage for the chief guests arrival and the beginning of the event marked by the traditional custom of lamp lighting at the hands of the Chief Guest. The programme commenced with a stirring rendition of the State Anthem.
The Principal Mrs. Mrinalini Mhetre provided an overview of the school’s Annual Report which not only highlighted the commendable achievements of the school, students and teachers in the academic year in curricular as well as co-curricular activities, but also the community outreach initiatives of the school for Instilling a sense of accountability and community care.
In her address, the Chief Guest Mrs. Bhakti Bhatawadekar-Lalit inspired the young students to pursue an art form of their choice and master it with patience, perseverance, practice and presentation with perfection.
In the Prize Distribution segment, the students were felicitated at the hands of the Chief Guest for their excellence in academics as well as co-curricular activities in the academic year. The subsequent cultural programme breathed life into the central theme. The Vibrant and dynamic dances showcased India’s rich cultural tapestry.
The impactful, value-based skit Journey of Bhakari deeply resonated with the audience. The evening culminated in a full rendition of Vande Mataram, honoring the 150 th anniversary of its composition. Celebrating a legacy of excellence and tradition, the school’s 9th Annual Day was a truly unforgettable event for all attendees.
