Observance of Lokmanya Tilak Punyatithi: A Reflection on His Life and Contributions…

The staff and students of PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri offered a befitting tribute to Lokmanya Tilak on his 105th Punyatithi.

In a special assembly conducted on the occasion, Principal Mrinalini Mhetre described Tilak as a pioneering figure in India’s struggle for independence. Programme in charge teacher Ms. Stesha Coutinho highlighted Tilak’s role in shaping the nation’s history and his emphasis on education.

Std 2nd student Master Mohit Mashankar’s role play as Lokmanya perfectly portrayed Tilak’s fearless leadership and his willingness to challenge British authority to assert Indian rights and achieve independence was highly appreciated by the audience.

On this occasion, result of the inter house Handwriting Competition was announced and prizes were given away to the winners.

The proramme was informative, inspiring the students to reflect on Tilak’s ideals and their significance in modern times.
