Energy Conservation Campaign was conducted at PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri from 01 st December to 14 th December, 2025 in
alignment of the World Energy Conservation Day which is observed on 14 th December across the globe. The campaign aimed at promoting
awareness about the importance of saving energy and protecting the environment. Throughout the campaign, students engaged in a variety of meaningful activities designed to foster practical understanding and responsible habits.
An energy audit conducted by the ‘Green Guardians’ of Grade 5 helped them identify areas of energy use within the school and encouraged them to think of realistic conservation measures. A poster-making competition for Grade 6 allowed students to creatively express messages on sustainable energy use, while a powerful street play (‘Nukkad Natak’ ) by the students of Grade 7 conveyed the consequences of energy wastage in an engaging manner. The play earned accolades from the audience.
The quiz competition organised for Grade 9 further strengthened students’ knowledge about renewable resources, energy efficiency, and
environmental conservation. The celebration concluded with everyone taking an ‘Energy Conservation Pledge’ prepared by Grade 8, reaffirming their commitment to adopting eco-friendly practices at school and at home. The week proved to be an enlightening experience, inspiring students to become responsible and aware citizens of a greener future.
