Remembering the Architects of Modern India, Mahatma Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastriji

PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Lal bahadur Shastri Jayanti with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event was organized to honor the birth anniversaries of these two great leaders, who played a significant role in India’s Freedom struggle.

A special assembly was arranged which began by offering floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastriji.  Master Swaraj Jadhav and Master Shlok Karande (both of grade VII) portrayed the values and principles of the leaders through their role plays as Gandhiji and Shastriji respectively. A speech on the occasion by the programme in charge teacher Mrs. Preshell D’Souza highlighted Gandhiji and Shastriji’s contributions to India’s freedom struggle.

As a tribute to Gandhiji’s vision of a clean India, Miss Nivida Mondkar (grade VIII) appealed the students to maintain cleaner surroundings. The school also launched E-waste collection drive on this occasion.

The programme aimed to foster a sense of patriotism and respect for our national leaders among students and to encourage them to adopt the values of truth, non-violence, simplicity and honesty, advocated by both the leaders.
