Triple Celebration @ PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri
The school premises were bustling with energy on 21st June 2024 as they celebrated the School Foundation Day, The International Day of Yoga, and World Music Day.
Miss Nidhi Khamkar of Std. 7 explained the importance of Yoga to the students in the school assembly. Students participated in the Yoga session volunteered by Ambika Yogashram experts. They practiced Omkar recitation, meditation, and simple body stretching exercises and poses. There was a Yoga session for the staff, too.
The 8th School Foundation Day and World Music Day celebration was also held with great enthusiasm.
The programme started on an auspicious note with Ganesh Pujan and offering tribute to the inspiration of the institution Lokmanya Tilak followed by a melodious and energetic group song by the students. The Music Teacher Mrs. Kaavya Rane guided them.
The highlight of the day was the inspiring speech by the Vice-President of the PTV Association Shri Vinay Jog who graced the event as the Chief Guest. In his address, he congratulated the staff and students of the school and extended his best wishes for their academic success in the future.
In her speech, the Principal Mrs. Mrinalini Mhetre said that the school days are the best time to be considered as the foundation period of the students’ life and they should make the best of it by working hard to achieve excellence in academic subjects and co-curricular activities.
Master Maitreya Koranne of Std. 8 expressed gratitude to all the musicians who have contributed in making music as a universal language and an integral part of our lives. A well-synchronized instrumental performance by Master Shlok Kurulkar on keyboard and Master Nrup Nadkarni on Tabla won the hearts of the audience.
Musical Clap Yoga (Taali Yoga) performed by the students was a fabulous display of rhythmic body movements and was highly appreciated by the audience. This mesmerising programme was put up by Asst. teacher Mrs. Aarti Kalekar.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to the Chief Guest.
