Shree Manache Shlok Recitation Competition

“Make Shloka Chanting a part of your daily routine…” Competition Judge Mrs. Sneha Bhatawadekar advised the participant students of the Manache Shlok Recitation held at PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri on the occasion of Guru Purnima. In her address, she explained the teachings of Samarth Ramdas Swami – how our mind is our friend, our enemy, and how it can be our Guru. Manache Shlok, a collection of positive affirmations to the mind, primarily focuses on our own internal dialogue, with ourselves, and with our mind. These shlokas are an important moral influence in Maharashtra and Marathi literature.
The other judge of the competition Mrs. Bhakti Lalit, in her speech, emphasized the correct breathing pattern while chanting Shlokas which leads to the correct pronunciation. Both the judges appreciated the efforts of the young participants, their teachers, and their parents. The winners of the competition were given prizes and certificates at the hands of the honourable judges.
