Remembering the Architect of Swaraj – Lokmanya Tilak on his Punyatithi PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri observed Lokmanya Tilak Punyatithi on 1st August 2026 with respect and enthusiasm to remember the great freedom fighter, social reformer, and ‘Father of Indian Unrest’ – Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak. ✨
The programme began with a Special Assembly conducted by Asst. Teacher Mrs. Shobhana Madanraj. The assembly commenced with the National Anthem and State Anthem, followed by offering floral tribute to Lokmanya Tilak at the hands of Headmistress Mrs. Mrinalini Mhetre. Students then recited a prayer dedicated to Lokmanya.
In her inspiring speech, Mrs. Shobhana highlighted the ideals, patriotism, and sacrifices of Lokmanya Tilak. She urged everyone to work hard with honesty and dedication for the nation’s progress as a true tribute to Tilak.
The students presented various performances to pay homage: Role Play: Master Aayush Naik of Std 2B portrayed Lokmanya Tilak and won everyone’s hearts with his confident delivery and expressions. Poems & Stories: Poems and stories dedicated to Lokmanya were recited effectively by Miss Vaidehi Patil (5A), Miss Sharanya More (3A), Miss Mugdha Aapte (2A), and Miss Devashree Bane (7A).
As a part of the commemoration, the results of the Inter-House Handwriting Competition were announced. The winners were felicitated with certificates and prizes by the Headmistress. The assembly concluded with the singing of the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’

The observance of Lokmanya Tilak Punyatithi instilled a sense of patriotism and respect for our freedom fighters among students.
