Tied by a thread, bonded by love…

Raksha Bandhan is a cherished festival celebrated in India, symbolizing the bond between siblings.

PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri celebrated the festival of ‘Rakhi’ on 17th August, 2024. Students across grades 1st to 4th indulged in a group activity and crafted their own ‘Rakhis’ using colourful threads, beads, and other decorative materials adding a personal touch to the festival. Mrs. Meenakumari Vishwakarma (Class Teacher – 1B) explained the significance of the festival in her speech. Students of Std. 5th to 8th tied rakhis to community helpers to show respect towards their services.

‘Taru Bandhan’ or ‘Vrisksh Bandhan’ was celebrated by tying rakhis to trees to promote awareness about the importance of trees, environmental balance, and sustainable lifestyles.

These activities not only added joy and excitement to the school environment but also instilled a sense of cultural understanding and appreciation among the young minds.
