International E-Waste Day is observed on 14 th October every year

The Eco-Club of PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri organized an E-Waste collection drive from 29 th September to 10 th October 2025, which aimed to raise awareness about the importance of responsible electronic waste disposal and promote environmental sustainability among students, staff and the community.
The students and the staff submitted a significant amount of 41 Kg of E-Waste including old computer desktops, laptops, mobile phones, used batteries, cables, etc. Eco-Club in charge teachers Ms. Shweta Yadav and Ms. Sneha Dhasade educated the students about the environmental and health hazards of the E-Waste and the benefits of recycling them.
Special gratitude to Mrs. Rashmi Joshi (an eminent environment activist and the mentor of the school’s Eco-Club) for her guidance and support in making this event a success.

The school’s commitment to conscientious E-Waste management continues as it received a certificate of ‘Responsible Recycling’ for the third consecutive year from the E Incarnation Recycling Pvt. Ltd. which processes, recycles, destroys and displaces the received material in an environmentally sustainable manner that is in accordance with all local, State and Central Government regulations.
