World Earth Day 2026: Our Power, Our Planet
Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22. It is an annual event observed by people, all across the world. The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970.
‘Earth’ is the only planet in the universe known to support life. It is essential to protect the Earth’s natural resources to sustain life here. April 22 was chosen as Earth Day to raise awareness about the importance of our planet.
Earth Day is not only a time to appreciate the beauty of nature but also to reflect on how we can protect it. From recycling to using less energy, there are many ways we can help keep the Earth healthy.
At PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri, the Earth Day was celebrated with plantation in the school’s Nature Park and paper upcycling activity for handmade paper under the guidance of our Eco Club mentor Mrs. Rashmi Joshi.
On this occasion, let’s resolve to take small steps every day, like keeping our surroundings clean, saving fuel, energy, and water, and planting more trees. Together, we can create a better place to live, for ourselves, and for future generations. Let’s love and care for our beautiful planet!
