From Dream to Duty: The journey of Young Leaders
The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2026–27 was held at PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri with great pride and enthusiasm, marking the formal induction of the newly appointed Student Council. The ceremony celebrated leadership, responsibility, and the spirit of service among the students. In the week preceding the ceremony, elections were conducted for the selection of the House Commanders. Students actively participated in the democratic process by campaigning with confidence and presenting their ideas to their peers. Master Darsh Salvi (Head Boy) and Miss Aarvi Salian (Head Girl), however, were appointed after a series of interview rounds, where they demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, communication skills, and commitment towards the school.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, teachers, and students by the school band squad. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the garlanding of the statue of Lokmanya Tilak, the great leader and the inspiration behind our school, seeking his blessings and remembering his ideals of courage, discipline, and patriotism.
Principal Mrs. Mrinalini Mhetre then addressed the gathering, inspiring the newly elected and appointed leaders to uphold the values of integrity. The appointed student leaders then marched in with pride, displaying discipline. The House Commanders Miss Nivida Mondkar, Master Kshitij Shinde, Master Vihaan Chorghe and Master Shlok Shinde of ‘Agni’, ‘Jal’, ‘Pruthvi’, and ‘Vayu’ Houses respectively were introduced to the audience, highlighting their roles in leading their respective houses throughout the year.
The most awaited moment of the ceremony followed, as the Principal conferred the sashes and badges upon the members of the Student Council, officially entrusting them with their responsibilities. The ceremony concluded with the Principal administering the oath of responsibility, where the student leaders solemnly pledged to discharge their duties with sincerity, fairness, and dedication.
The Investiture Ceremony concluded on an inspiring note, encouraging the newly appointed leaders to lead by example and uphold the honour and values of the school throughout the academic year.
