The sacred festival of Aashadhi Ekadashi was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri. The entire school came together to experience the spirit of Warkari tradition, devotion to Lord Vitthal, and the teachings of Sant Dnyaneshwar.

The celebration began with a Dindi procession in the school premises. Students dressed as Warkaris with saffron attire, tulsi malas, and carrying Palkhi and flags walked chanting ‘Dnyanba-Tukaram’ and ‘Vitthal Vitthal’. The sight of little warkaris filled the atmosphere with faith and joy.

This was followed by a cultural programme in the auditorium. The programme commenced with the Aarti of Lord Vitthal. Students then presented Manache Shlok recital, Abhangs, devotional songs and a dance that beautifully depicted bhakti and the values of Warkari Sampradaya. The devotional music and rhythm created a serene and spiritual ambience.

The highlight of the programme was the Bharud presented by the students. Their expressive performance, dialogues, and message received loud applause and truly won the hearts of the audience.

The event concluded on a divine note with Pasay-Dan recited by the teachers. Their soulful and melodious rendition invoked blessings for universal peace and left everyone feeling peaceful and blessed.

An awesome board work depicting Lord Vitthal added to the festive spirit. A display gallery with beautiful pictures of Vitthal-Rakhumai was also set up, which became a major attraction for students. The celebration ended with the distribution of Prasad to all students, spreading the message of togetherness and devotion.
