The event began with hands-on paper bag making activities in each class.

Std 4 students made colourful paper bags using bright craft papers. They added attractive paper decorations like flowers, stickers, and cut-outs to make the bags eye-catching and presentable.

Std 5 students took part in an upcycling activity. They collected used paper envelopes and transformed them into beautifully designed paper bags. This activity taught them the value of reusing materials creatively.

Std 6 and 7 students prepared paper bags using old newspapers. The best part of their activity was that each bag carried hand-written slogans promoting the message “Say No to Plastic” and “Adopt Paper Bags for a Greener Tomorrow”. Their bags beautifully combined creativity with social awareness.

Std 8 students focused on making premium quality paper bags suitable for gifting purposes. With neat folds, strong handles, and elegant designs, their bags showed skill, precision, and a sense of responsibility.

The highlight of the event was an Awareness Rally by the Scouts and Guides. The students marched through the school premises and nearby areas with placards and slogans promoting paper bags as a sustainable replacement for plastic bags. As part of the outreach, they donated the paper bags made by all classes to local vendors and appealed to them to use paper bags for giving products to customers. The rally received a positive response and spread an important message in the community.

Special thanks to our Art teacher, Mrs. Ashwini, for guiding the students with patience and creativity at every step. Her support made the activity both educational and enjoyable.

The World Paper Bag Day activities successfully instilled the values of environmental responsibility, creativity, and community service in our students. The day ended with a promise to continue choosing paper over plastic in our daily lives.
