Republic Day Celebration

The Republic Day 2025 was a grand event at PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri that showcased patriotism and national pride. This year’s celebration marked the 76th anniversary of India’s adoption of its Constitution.

The event began with garlanding the photo of our motherland India, followed by unfurling of the Indian National Flag at the hand of the Chief Guest, PTVA Director, Shri Promod Lele. The students and staff raised their voices with patriotic fervor, chanting slogans “भारतमाता की जय”, “जय जवान जय किसान”, “वंदे मातरम्”, that echoed the spirit of nationalism and unity. In his speech, Shri Lele highlighted the significance of the Republic Day and the importance of upholding the values like Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity.

The school band squad staged an impressive parade, showcasing their musical talents and synchronized marching skills. Special attractions of the day were the Lathi-Kathi display by the students and a patriotic group song showcasing the geographical diversity of the country and its cultural richness. The event was directed by Music Teacher Mrs. Kaavya Rane.

On the 2nd anniversary of the Darpan Newsletter, winners of the Doodle Competition and Ganpati Bappa Drawing Competition were announced and were given Prizes at the hands of the Chief Guest.

A quiz competition based on the key facts of the Indian Constitution was conducted for the students od Std. 6, 7 and 8 and the winners were given appreciation certificates.

The celebration ended with distribution of sweets to the students.
