“Today’s click could be tomorrow’s regret! Think before you share…” Advised Cyber Commando Shri Nikhil Mahadeshwar to the parents in the Palak-Shaala (पालक शाळा) on Cyber Safety on 12th February 2024 at PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri. Shri Mahadeshwar is a renowned cyber security expert and tech-based innovator was the resource person. He is also a Sadhak of the Manshakti Kendra.
As the number of Internet users continues to grow worldwide a concern is raised about the safety of children, teenagers, and the elderly using the Internet. Most of the social media users have endured some sort of cyber-harassment. Safer Internet Day is celebrated worldwide on 6th February to raise awareness about internet safety.
In his presentation, Shri Mahadeshwar explained how cyber-attacks on individuals, businesses, and organizations are becoming a growing threat. He shared some good tips to navigate safely through the internet. He also suggested ways of constructive time usage as options for online gaming. Parents shared their experiences and asked queries which were answered satisfactorily by the resource person.
