Shiv Jayanti Celebration

PTVA’s EMS, Andheri celebrated Shiv Jayanti with immense enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
The program began with paying a floral tribute to the great Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the hands of the Principal Mrs. Mhetre and students. Programme in charge teacher Mrs. Manasi Sharma highlighted the significance of Shivaji Maharaj’s life and teachings.

A special cultural programmme showcased the naming ceremony with Rajmata Jijau and others singing ‘पाळणा’ for Bal Shivaji followed by a mesmerizing display of traditional self-defense technique -Lathi-Kathi by the students. Miss Rama Mestry (Std 5) explained the meaning of the Sanskrit Scripture on the Royal Seal of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. An audio-visual programme on the supreme sacrifice of Shiva Kashid left the audience visibly moved and tearful.

In the concluding speech, Harshada Mulmule teacher appealed the students to carry forward the legacy of Shivaji Maharaj by following discipline and fighting for what is right.

The event helped to instill patriotism and inspire students to emulate Shivaji Maharaj’s values of courage, bravery, and leadership.
