Youth Day and Jijabai Jayanti Celebration

PTVA’s English Medium School, Andheri commemorated Youth Day and Jijabai Jayanti on the 12th of January, 2026 with great enthusiasm and reverence, celebrating two powerful sources of inspiration that continue to guide and shape young minds – the Youth icon Swami Vivekananda and Jijabai, the ideal mother and visionary who shaped Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The day began with a special morning assembly by offering floral tributes to the portraits of Swami Vivekananda and Rajmata Jijabai, followed by a brief introduction emphasizing the importance of the day.

Kavya Maski of Std 6A administered a pledge encouraging students to work towards character building and maintaining cordial relationships.

Kshitij Patkure of Std 9A spoke about Swami Vivekananda’s thoughts and ideals, motivating everyone to believe in their inner strength and contribute positively to society.

Students of Std 8A participated in the “Tree of Kindness” activity, spreading the message of compassion, service to society, and character building as envisioned by Swami Vivekananda.

Students of Std 9 participated in the “Our Rays of Dreams and Goals” activity, inspiring students to set meaningful goals and strive towards achieving a brighter future.

Creative displays and quotations were put up on the notice boards, adding colour and meaning to the celebrations.

The joint celebration beautifully conveyed that strong nations are built by strong youth and enlightened guidance.
