Shri Krishna Janmashtami Celebration
यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत:।
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम्॥
परित्राणाय साधूनाम् विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम्।
धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे-युगे॥
Shri Krishna Janmashtami and Dahi-Handi was celebrated with zest and zeal. The display board highlighted Shri Krishna Leela with the significant events…specially the Govardhan Mountain lifted up by Shri Krishna to keep the inhabitants and cattle of Vrindavan safe from the frightening rains and thunderstorm. The board was highly appreciated by all.
The cultural programme was packed with ‘श्री कृष्ण जन्म सोहळा’, story-telling, an Audio-Visual programme with drama and dances. Our adorable Kanhas and Gopikas were eagerly waiting to break the Dahi-Handi. Finally the Govindas danced to the popular song ‘गोविंदा आला रे आला…’ and everyone cheered and joined them. Prasad was distributed to all after breaking the Dahi-Handi.
